M1 Quantum Engineering

The first year is organized as follows:

  • Semester 1 : Lectures and Practicum Courses (30 ECTS).
  • Semester 2 : Internship in France or abroad (30 ECTS).

Note: All courses are mandatory.

M2 ICFP

The second year is organized into four tracks: Condensed matter physics, Soft matter and biological physics, Quantum physics: From the foundations to quantum technologies, and Theoretical physics.

M1 ICFP

The first year offers a wealth of lectures covering a wide range of topics in modern physics, from fundamental interactions to biophysics, and also several aspects of quantum mechanics and condensed matter physics, to name just a few.

Master ICFP

The ICFP  Master is a top-level program designed specifically for the best French and international students.

By choosing the École normale supérieure (ENS), students are assured of benefiting from the prestigious teaching that has made the ENS's reputation since its creation in 1794.

Last JRC positions at ENS Physics Department

ENS Physics Department, through the LabEx ENS-ICFP, invited applications for its last postdoctoral positions in theoretical physics as Junior Research Chair holders (JRC) in 2023.

Honour

Honour
Jean Dalibard, Médaille d’Or 2021 du CNRS

ENS Diploma

The ENS diploma is generally awarded after three years of study at the ENS. Normaliens students obtain their diploma at the end of their period at the ENS, i.e. at the end of the fourth year.

Students arriving in possession of 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) will be able to achieve a master's level of study, amounting to a total of 180 ECTS (L3 + M1 + M2).

Doctoral School Astronomy and Astrophysics for Paris Area

The Doctoral School offers physics and mathematics students training in the broad interdisciplinary field of Astronomy and Astrophysics through all of its methods of observation, measurement and computation.

The subject area continues to grow every year, covering planets to cosmology, using a wide variety of advanced tools preparing for next generation instruments.
