The Philippe Meyer Institute (IPM)

Physics department of Ecole normale supérieure (ENS)

The Philippe Meyer Institute was founded in 2012 in memory of Philippe Meyer, actor of Theoretical Physics' revival in France in the late 50’s, early 60’s.

The Institute promotes research in theoretical physics at ENS and participates in the training of young theorists.

The Institute is funding and managing postdoctoral research positions in ENS Physics department, as well as a visiting program for scientific personalities. 

It also contributes to the organization of the biannual Philippe Meyer prize in theoretical physics.
